Kataeb Party leader Samy Gemayel sharply condemned the recent attack on a United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) patrol in southern Lebanon, attributing the ongoing violence against peacekeepers is orchestrated by parties determined to undermine Lebanon’s security. 

In a post on his X account, Gemayel stressed that such actions are “utterly condemnable and unacceptable,” adding that they put the Lebanese state and its authority “to a critical test.”
