As Lebanon marks the 42nd assassination anniversary of President-elect Bachir Gemayel, Kataeb Party chief Samy Gemayel made a heartfelt tribute describing how the passage of time has only amplified the brilliance and impact of the late leader's life and sacrifice, and illustrating how his legacy continues to inspire and resonate across generations.

“Years pass, and your brilliance only increases. Days go by, yet your name remains on everyone’s lips. Your secret is that through your martyrdom, you have enshrined a resistant path and a Lebanese pulse that is passed down through generations,” Gemayel wrote on his X account.

"Your path of heroism unsettles Lebanon's enemies, causing them to lose their composure at the mere mention of Bachir Gemayel," he added, affirming that the Kataeb Party, despite all challenges, remains vigilant, steadfast, and uncompromising in its commitment to its symbols and ideals.

“The Kataeb Party, which you carried its banner until martyrdom, remains faithful to your sacrifices, clear in its proposals, and determined to fulfill your dream,” Gemayel asserted.

In closing, Samy Gemayel extended his tribute to all martyrs of September 14th explosion in Ashrafieh.

“We think of you every day and draw inspiration from you to carry on,” he wrote.
