Embarrassing Mix-Up: Lebanese PM's Awkward Encounter at Beirut Airport
As expected, the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, arrived at Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport , at seven o'clock yesterday evening, Tuesday.
She was welcomed by the caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati.
What was not expected was an embarrassing situation for PM Mikati, as he greeted a woman in the Italian delegation, led by Meloni, by mistakenly kissing her, thinking she was his Italian counterpart.
Social media circulated a video showing the moment of reception.
