Discussions focused on regional developments, with particular attention to southern Lebanon and the situation in Gaza. Rashad reiterated Egypt’s readiness to assist in consolidating security in southern Lebanon and resolving ongoing unrest.
President Aoun, in turn, extended his greetings to President al-Sisi and thanked Egypt for its continued support across multiple sectors. He welcomed any Egyptian efforts aimed at halting Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory and restoring stability.
Following the Baabda meeting, Rashad headed to Ain al-Tineh to meet with Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri, as part of a broader diplomatic engagement in Beirut that has included regional and international envoys in recent weeks.
