Kataeb Secretary General Serge Dagher noted that the Lebanese were tired of compromises and choosing between bad and worse, affirming that the key to solutions begins with electing a president.
“We need to open a debate in the Parliament on the issue of the quorum required to elect a president and agree on it,” Dagher said in an interview with MTV.
“Any step we take will be coordinated with our presidential candidate Michel Mouawad. What is required is to go to the Parliament and elect a president who obtains the majority, and not by prior agreement on the "tribe" method,” he stressed.
“All of State Prosecutor Ghassan Ouweidat's steps are illegal, and we will await Judge Bitar's decision to make sure if it is based on facts,” he added.
“As long as there is no political solution the exchange rate of the dollar will continue to rise, and the Capital Control Law has not been approved, 3 years after starting to look into it,” he concluded.
