When asked by host Andy Cohen why the two split, Kim answered: "I honestly don't think I would even say it here on TV, but it was not like, one specific thing that happened on either part."

"I think it was just a general difference of opinions on a few things that led to this decision. And like, in no way would I want someone to think that I didn't give it my all, or not really try."

She added: "You know, we have four kids. There's nothing that I think parents would want more than to see, or even kids want more than to see their parents together. I grew up and I lived that myself."

Kim insisted that the Stronger rapper will "always be family" said that her marriage to him was her "first real" one.

The business owner explained: "We have an amazing co-parenting relationship, and I respect him so much, and you know, that was my friend first, first and foremost, for a long time, so I can't see that going away.

"I will forever be Kanye's biggest fan. He's the father of my kids, Kanye will always be family."

Kim shares children North, eight, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and Psalm, two with Kanye.

She was previously married to Damon Thomas between 2000 and 2004 before marrying Kris Humphries in 2011.

The two were married for 72 days before the reality star filed for divorce.

During an episode of the final season of KUWTK, Kim discussed one of the reasons she wanted to divorce the Runaway rapper.

She said she was lonely after he moved to a ranch in Wyoming while she stayed in California.

Kim revealed: "I never thought I was lonely, and I always thought that's totally fine, I can just have my kids, my husband moves from state to state and I'm on this ride with him and I was OK with that.

"And then after turning 40 this year I realised no, I don't want a husband that lives in a completely different state to me. I thought, 'oh my God, that's when we're getting along the best'".
