BTS‘ Jin has just been announced as the latest face of Gucci.
The announcement was first shared by Women’s Wear Daily and included a statement from the fashion house’s creative director, Sabato De Sarno, who described the K-pop icon as having a “warm and kind personality is truly magnetic, and his style is simply unique. He is a generous and extraordinary artist who can move people with his music, which makes us even more honored to share this journey with him.”
To celebrate the new partnership, the brand released a photo campaign featuring Jin wearing pieces from the Italian fashion house’s spring/summer 2025 menswear collection. Jin has already been noted to be a fan of the brand, having worn several Gucci ensembles on several occasions. He also praised De Sarno and the brand as “iconic,” stating how it has symbolized a “long-standing heritage and modernity.” “It is meaningful and thrilling to be a part of such a house,” he says.
As the newest global ambassador of the Italian luxury fashion house, Jin joins the likes of Miley Cyrus, NewJeans‘ Hanni, and fellow Korean sensations like Squid Game star Lee Jung Jae, actress Park Gyu Young, and rapper Jay Park as the latest addition to the Gucci family.
This marks the latest brand that Jin has become an ambassador for, following his recent partnership with FRED Jewelry. His other BTS members also serve as the face for several luxury brands — with Jimin as a global ambassador for Dior, V for Celine, Jung Kook with Calvin Klein, RM for Bottega Veneta, Suga for Valentino, and J-Hope for Louis Vuitton.
Just recently, Jin finished his 18-month mandatory military service, which makes him the first BTS member to complete his duties. Almost immediately after finishing his service, the 31-year-old musician carried the torch as South Korea’s torch-bearing representative at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.
