The United Kingdom is committed to supporting the Lebanese Army and enhancing the country's border security, a senior British defense official told President Joseph Aoun during a meeting on Tuesday.

Admiral Edward Ahlgren, Senior Advisor at the UK Ministry of Defence for Middle East Affairs, assured Aoun of the UK’s continued backing for the Lebanese Armed Forces and reaffirmed readiness to complete the construction of watchtowers along Lebanon’s borders.
