Bou Abboud: Hezbollah Endangers Lebanon, Violates Sovereignty in Guise of Unification

Kataeb Political Bureau Member Joelle Bou Abboud commented on Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah speech about a retaliatory response to the assassination of Hamas Vice President Saleh al-Arouri.

In an interview with "Lebanon Debate", Bou Abboud considered the events in the southern suburbs as a serious matter, condemning Israeli attacks on the Lebanese territory.

She highlighted the issue of providing shelter to the leaders of Hamas and Palestinian factions in Lebanon, stating that it poses a danger to Lebanon and undermines its sovereignty, especially when these factions use Lebanon as a base for their meetings and operations.

"Hezbollah violates Lebanese land and its people, exposing them to attacks in the name of unifying the arenas. Therefore, when the danger reaches the security of our people and land, a decisive decision must be made in this regard. However, we do not see this happening in Lebanon; on the contrary, Hezbollah embraces Palestinian factions and supports them, turning Lebanon into a platform for missiles, statements, meetings, and centers," she pointed out.

"The only cause that matters the most is the Lebanese cause," she stressed.

Addressing Nasrallah, Abboud said, "Why did you open the front? Why expose your people and youth to assassinations and killings when this is not your direct cause? In other Arab countries, we see that no one exposes their people to danger as you do. However, the fundamental problem is that we do not learn from history, and this is the main reason for the wars in Lebanon."
