Federal Bank of Lebanon in Hamra, Beirut is currently witnessing a man holding employees and citizens hostage.
According to reports, an armed guy with a gun and bottles of benzene stormed into the bank earlier today demanding to be given his money—$209,000—and threatening to set himself on fire and kill those in the branch.
He also pointed the weapon at the branch manager.
The security forces and the army arrived at the scene, but they were unable to enter the branch because the assailant had locked it.
