On the 42nd anniversary of the assassination of President-elect Bachir Gemayel, MP Nadim Gemayel honored his father’s enduring legacy, emphasizing that Bachir’s vision and leadership continue to serve as a guiding light for Lebanon.

"Forty-two years later, and Bachir’s vision and words remain the roadmap for Lebanon's salvation," the lawmaker wrote on X, underscoring the relevance of his father's ideals in today’s turbulent political climate.

"Lebanon is at a crossroads today, and it is our responsibility to keep the flame burning, to keep our heads held high and our dignity intact."

Nadim Gemayel urged all Lebanese citizens who believe in the country's future to take up the mantle of responsibility.

"The responsibility is great on each and every one of us, everyone who believes in Lebanon. Today, we must unite, close ranks, and do everything necessary to preserve the Lebanon for which Bachir was martyred, and for future generations of Lebanon."

He concluded his tribute by saluting his father's soul and the souls of those who died alongside him.

"Peace be upon your soul and the souls of your comrades..." he wrote.
