China has the world's largest number of world natural heritage sites, being home to 13 natural sites and four mixed sites, an official at the National Forestry and Grassland Administration announced.

The official indicated that China is considered one of the fastest-growing countries when it comes to world heritage, having established a management system that is based on legal and technological support.

China's world heritage sites have drawn 12 million inbound tourist trips contributing to country's ecological and socioeconomic development.
