Army Raids Baalbek Neighborhood, Searches Nouh Zeaiter’s House

The Lebanese Army carried out a major operation in the Al-Sharawneh neighborhood of Baalbek, resulting in the arrest of several wanted individuals.

The raids targeted multiple homes, most notably the house belonging to Nouh Zeaiter and his son‑in‑law, and led to the seizure of vehicles and military‑type gear, as well as the dismantling of surveillance cameras set up around the targeted residences.

Nouh  Zeaiter, Lebanon’s most notorious drug lord, was taken into custody by the Lebanese Army on November 20 during an ambush on a road between the village of Knaysseh and Baalbek. Zeaiter had long been wanted on multiple arrest warrants across the country for a string of alleged offenses, including drug manufacturing and trafficking, arms trafficking, robbery, kidnapping for ransom, and episodes of gunfire directed at army personnel and civilians.
