An Arab Vision for a New Lebanon Calls for Changing Political Class

Al Modon newspaper reported that when it comes to the Lebanese file, all Arab countries agree that a political change needs to occur even at the expense of the political class, especially in light of Arab powers' insistence on implementing the Taif Agreement.

It added, "Arab powers are seeking to convince the political class to perform radical changes even if certain political figures are no longer part of the political landscape for past experiences cannot be repeated amid the crisis the country is facing."

It mentioned that some Arab officials consider Lebanon cannot rise again with the same mechanisms and must look for new equations, which goes against the French proposal that completely backs the election of Sleiman Frangieh.
