Airlines Set to Resume Flights to and from Beirut Airport by Mid-December

Beirut International Airport is set to return to normal operations, with airlines expected to resume inbound and outbound flights between December 5 and 15, according to Fadi Al-Hassan, the airport's director.

The announcement comes after months of disruptions caused by the Israel-Hezbollah conflict.

Al-Hassan told LBCI broadcaster that all Arab and foreign airlines are anticipated to restart their regular flight schedules soon, marking a significant step towards restoring normalcy at the airport.

Further speaking to Al-Hadath TV, Al-Hassan explained that the Lebanese Army is in charge of overseeing military aircraft landing at the airport, ensuring the safety and security of such operations. He also noted that additional security measures have been put in place under the supervision of both the Lebanese Army and the airport's security personnel. These measures include thorough inspections of cargo, with authorities conducting a full evaluation of the situation at the airport to ensure safety before international flights can resume.

Al-Hassan reassured the public that there were no significant material damages to Beirut Airport as a result of the recent conflict, emphasizing that the airport has been largely spared from the destruction that has affected other parts of Lebanon.
