A New Chapter of Provocation: Hezbollah's Disregard for War's Consequences

A recurring issue has resurfaced, revolving around Hezbollah's attempt to act as if nothing had happened; ignoring the war and its catastrophic repercussions, which resulted in massive losses, a reshuffling of the political landscape, and a disruption of established equations.

One of the latest indicators of this approach is the assault on journalist Daoud Rammal by Hezbollah members, a case that has escalated both legally and in public opinion.

Today, Rammal filed a legal complaint at the Palace of Justice with the Public Prosecutor’s Office against his assailants, including Hussein Sabbagh, a Hezbollah member, along with others identified through the investigation. Hezbollah has distanced itself from the incident, describing it as an isolated act. However, despite its promise to hand over the perpetrator yesterday, the group has failed to follow through.

A clear manifestation of the return to provocative displays and an excessive show of power by Hezbollah is evident along the airport road.

The group has erected images of its leaders, ranging from former Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah to current Secretary-General Cheikh Naim Qassem, as well as commanders who lost their lives in the war. This display has stirred discontent among commuters traveling along the airport road.
