Russian Presidential Elections to Take Place in the Occupied Ukrainian Territories

The upcoming Russian presidential elections scheduled for March 2024 are expected to encompass the territories currently occupied by Moscow in Eastern and Southern Ukraine, as announced by the electoral committee on Monday.

According to Russian news agencies quoting the committee, the voting will include Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, areas declared annexed by Russia in 2022, even though Moscow does not exercise complete military control over these regions.
