Greek Orthodox Metropolitan of Beirut and its suburbs Archbishop Elias Audi on Sunday called for conducting the electoral process freely and democratically while congratulating the winners.

He emphasized the need for a new phase focused on work and rescue.

"Our hope is that the members of parliament reflect on the critical nature of this phase and that they reach a consensus in the upcoming session to elect a president for the country who will pave the way for salvation," he stressed.
