Ramco on Monday has resumed collecting rubbish in Kesrawan, Metn, and Beirut.
Caretaker Environment Minister Nasser Yassin stated to Al-Jadeed that he had made the decision to reopen the landfill despite the fact that he lacked the direct authority to do so.
"Subsequently this morning, a State Security team has been protecting the dump with the backing of Prime Minister Najib Mikati and work has been resumed by sweeping and collecting trash from Beirut's streets."
