US, France, and UNIFIL Convene Meeting with Lebanese and Israeli Forces in Naqoura – Joint Statement
A joint statement from the U.S. and French embassies in Lebanon, along with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), confirmed that on December 18, representatives from the United States, France, UNIFIL, the Lebanese army, and the Israeli military convened once more in Naqoura.
The meeting, organized by UNIFIL, was led by the United States, with France providing support. Participants also included representatives from the Lebanese army and the Israeli military.
The meeting aimed to further coordination efforts to ensure the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701.
The statement also highlighted that this coordination mechanism will continue to meet regularly.
