UNIFIL's Spokesperson: Our Work Continues, Including Patrols
UNIFIL's Spokesperson Andrea Tenenti said: “Our military peacekeepers remain in their positions and on task as well as our civilian staff. Our work continues, including patrols, but also logistics and supply convoys and scheduled rotations of troops in and out of Lebanon.”
“The safety and security of United Nations personnel and their dependents is our priority,” added Tenenti.
In October 2023, out of an abundance of caution, UNIFIL decided to relocate dependents of its civilian staff living outside the area of operations, including Tyre.
