The ancient Roman site where Julius Caesar was assassinated will be open to tourists once renovation works are done, the city's mayor Virginia Raggi announced.
The Largo di Torre Argentina, which is believed to be the spot where famous Roman politician and military general Julius Caesar was killed in 44 BC, will undergo reconstruction and become a touristic landmark by the second half of 2021.
The renovation project will be undertaken by Italian fashion brand Bulgari, with an estimated budget of $953,000.
