Lebanon, Britain to Hold Joint Military Exercise Starting Tuesday
The Lebanese Army is preparing to launch the joint exercise "PEGASUS CEDAR 2026" with the British Army on October 6, 2026, which will last for three weeks, as part of the ongoing military cooperation between the two sides since the start of these joint exercises in 2023.

Lebanon’s Government Is Stalling and Calling It Strategy
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam’s meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio was presented as an attempt to move the tripartite framework from principles to implementation. Salam called for reciprocity, a clear timetable, credible verification, Israeli withdrawal, and exclusive state control over weapons. These demands are legitimate. TotalEnergies Delays Signing Oil and Gas Contracts for Blocks 8 and 10
TotalEnergies, serving as the operator and representative of its partners Eni and QatarEnergy, has yet to finalize the exploration and extraction contracts for Blocks 8 and 10.
The Cabinet's deadline for signing these contracts expired on Friday, with no agreement reached.
If an extension is not granted based on a proposal from the Ministry of Energy, Blocks 8 and 10 will be reintroduced in the third licensing round.
