Germany Send Out Euro 2020 Warning

Joachim Low's Germany produced an extraordinary display as they thrashed Latvia 7-1 in their last friendly match ahead of the 2020 European Championship.

The Germany coach played a 3-4-3 formation with Robin Gosens at left wing-back, Joshua Kimmich on the right flank, and Toni Kroos alongside Ilkay Gundogan in midfield.

Germany circulated the ball smoothly, while Latvia sat back, looking to soak up the home side's pressure, but that lasted for just 19 minutes before the hosts eventually broke the deadlock.

Gosens opened the scoring, Gundogan doubled their lead, while Thomas Muller and Serge Gnabry scored one each and Roberts Ozols netting an own goal, with Germany heading in at half time with a five-goal lead.

Timo Werner and Leroy Sane also got their names on the scoresheet in the second half to seal a comfortable friendly victory for Die Mannschaft.

Germany's first game of Euro 2020 is scheduled to take place on June 15 against tournament favourites France.
