The European Council announced on Tuesday a €60 million commitment from the European Peace Facility to support the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), aiming to enhance their capacity to maintain stability in southern Lebanon in line with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701.

Israeli forces continue to establish new military positions along the border with Lebanon, with construction teams actively working to set up sites for deployment. According to Israel Hayom, most of the new positions are planned to be located between Israeli settlements and the border fence, in accordance with the Northern Command’s strategic plan.

Armed members allegedly belonging to Amal movement have assaulted protesters in Tyre on Saturday leaving three injured with one in a critical condition.
Al-Jadeed channel reported that the situation in Tyre is seriously bad where armed men participated in a protest in support of Speaker of the Parliament Nabih Berri.
A video circulated social media platforms showing peaceful protestors driving off a group of armed men from the scene and preventing them from shooting.
One of the assaulted women also stated that armed men attacked and beat protestors including women at the Aabbasiyyeh intersection shouting “Berri is God.”
