Justice Minister Albert Serhan received a report from the Judicial Inspection Authority suggesting that the government Commissioner to the Military Court, Peter Germanos, would be suspended and referred to a disciplinary body, The Daily Star newspaper reported.

The recommendation also includes Bekaa's First Investigative Judge Imad al-Zein.

According to a judicial source, the authority, which has been probing corrupt and illegal practices in the judiciary, investigated the two magistrates for allowing detainees and other legal clients to pay unofficial mediators to prepare court documents.
