United Nations Mark World Water Day

As the world is marking today (March 22) the World Water Day under the "Leaving No One Behind" theme, the United Nations brought to light shocking facts and figures to draw attention to the difficulties that people in certain countries around the world are facing to access the vital resource.

The UN said that as many as 2.1 billion people have no safe water at home, and that almost two-thirds of the world’s people have issues finding water in at least one month of the year.

It also warned that the failure to access water could force about 700 million people around the world to leave their homes by 2030.
