After welcoming well-wishers following his election as Lebanon's new president, Joseph Aoun departed Baabda Palace, with plans to officially assume his presidential duties tomorrow morning.  

According to LBCI, parliamentary consultations are expected to begin next week.  

Under Lebanon's political system, the president is required to hold consultations with parliamentary blocs to nominate a prime minister, who will then be tasked with forming a new cabinet.
