I Lost My Brother in the Beirut Port Explosion. Where Is the Justice?
The people of Lebanon are marking five years since the Beirut port explosion of August 4, 2020 – a blast that has been described as one of the largest non-nuclear explosions in history. The detonation pulverised the port, ruined vast sections of the city and was felt as far away as Cyprus. Third Tanker Carrying Iranian Fuel to Lebanon Has Reached Syria
A third tanker carrying Iranian fuel for distribution in Lebanon has reached the Syrian port city of Baniyas, TankerTrackers.com reported on Twitter on Wednesday.
The Iran-aligned Hezbollah movement says the shipments it is importing should ease a crippling energy crisis in Lebanon, reported Reuters.
Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati said last month the Iranian fuel shipments constitute a breach of Lebanon's sovereignty.
Both Syria and Iran are under US sanctions.
