Qatari Ambassador Stresses Urgency of Lebanese Presidential Election in Meeting with Patriarch Al-Rahi
Maronite Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi welcomed Qatar's Ambassador to Lebanon, Saud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, at the patriarchal residence in Bkerke during a visit to exchange holiday greetings.
The ambassador relayed the well-wishes of Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, to the Patriarch.
He highlighted the deep-rooted ties between Qatar and Lebanon, with a particular focus on the strong connection with Patriarch Al-Rahi.
The ambassador also stressed the pressing need to elect a Lebanese president on January 9, reaffirming Qatar’s steadfast support for Lebanon across economic, political, and military domains.
