Pep Guardiola and Darwin Nunez in Heated Exchange After Manchester City Vs Liverpool FC

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez appeared to get into a heated argument as the final whistle blew for their fixture at the Etihad Stadium.

Reds' manager Jurgen Klopp could be seen pulling Nunez - who had been substituted later on in the Premier League clash - away from the confrontation, and the manager had his hand to Nunez's mouth at one point. Several coaches from both clubs became involved as they tried to calm the situation down.

It's not clear what triggered the flashpoint, and it's likely that the two managers will be asked about it in the post-match press conferences this afternoon.

The top two sides in the table played out a tense 1-1 draw. Erling Haaland's first-half goal saw him break the record for the quickest player to reach 50 Premier League goals, but Trent Alexander-Arnold's late equaliser saw the spoils shared.
