Maronite Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi expressed hope that the lawmakers would agree on electing a distinguished figure who enjoys the trust of the Lebanese people and friendly nations.

In his sermon during Mass on the Solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord, Al-Rahi stressed the necessity of electing a president who is up to the challenges, capable of leading Lebanon toward unity and guiding the country to work together with wisdom, a spirit of peace, and objectivity.
