A dog rescued a newborn who was buried alive by his 15-year-old mother to cover up her pregnancy from her parents.

The dog, named Ping Pong, kept barking and digging in a field in northern Thailand, attracting the attention of his owner who saw a baby’s leg sticking out of the earth.

The baby was taken to the hospital and was found to be healthy.

His mother has been charged with child abandonment and attempted murder. Her parents have decided to raise the baby.
