Maronite Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi presided over a mass in celebration of the Feast of Saint Charbel at the Monastery of Saint Maron in Annaya.

In his sermon, Al-Rahi emphasized that "Saint Charbel has become a global saint and tells us that Lebanon, his homeland, will not perish if we return to his path of asceticism."

He said, "Saint Charbel tells us that he intercedes for Lebanon, his homeland, and we must pray for the establishment of a just peace in it, as Lebanon cannot continue without a president."

"Let us pray that Saint Charbel changes our entrenched positions for the good of Lebanon," Al-Rahi concluded.
