MP Fouad Makhzoumi wrote on his twitter account: "During the parliamentary delegation’s visit to Washington, we met with IMF officials who called for adopting further reform laws in the Parliament, electing a president, forming a government that implements reforms and concluding a final agreement with IMF, as they pointed out that the Lebanese should help themselves before seeking the international community’s help."

“The delegation requested the IMF's legal and technical guidance regarding the restructuring of banks and financial regulation. we also presented a reform plan approved by various blocs and parties," he added.
