A Future Without Hezbollah

Makhzoumi to Government: Why Did We Incur $2.5 Million for an Audit Report that Will Not Uncover the Truth?
MP Fouad Makhzoumi pointed out that he "has repeatedly asked the government about the reason behind not publishing the financial audit report of the Central Bank accounts prepared by Alvarez & Marsal."
"I have asked to obtain a copy to review and ensure the non-falsification of facts," he noted.
Makhzoumi asked Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Finance Minister Youssef Khalil on Twitter, "Why did your government incur approximately $2.5 million of people's money for a report that will not contribute to uncovering the truth of what happened, resulting in the loss of their money and the destruction of their livelihoods?"
"In the end, we received a preliminary report that has no legal form and is just a draft that does not hold the company accountable, and no one can access its contents without the Finance Minister’s consent," he added.
