MP Fouad Makhzoumi expressed his willingness to take on the role of Prime Minister, emphasizing his commitment to implementing the reforms necessary for Lebanon’s recovery.
In an interview with Al Jadeed, Makhzoumi clarified that he harbors no personal animosity toward the current political leadership but stressed the need to move past personal differences.
“We did not grant trust to PM Najib Mikati in the past, and accordingly, my position on him is clear. We must move beyond personal issues,” he stated.
Makhzoumi further underscored that the political deadlock surrounding Lebanon’s leadership must be resolved by focusing on selecting the most qualified person to lead the government. He argued that doing so would allow the country to tackle pressing issues and move forward with critical reforms.
