Maersk And Hapag-Lloyd: No Deals With Houthis To Avoid Attacks In The Red Sea

Shipping companies Hapag-Lloyd and Maersk stated on Monday that they have not entered into any agreements with the Houthi rebels aligned with Iran to prevent their ships from being targeted in attacks in the Red Sea. The companies denied a report suggesting that some shipping firms had begun making such deals.

The report, published by the shipping-focused website ShippingWatch, led to a decline in the shares of both companies.
