French President Emmanuel Macron reiterated his country's unwavering support for Lebanon’s recovery and sovereignty, as he spoke with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam on Friday.
In a post on X, Macron said he had congratulated Salam on the work his government is undertaking and discussed the prospects for Lebanon’s reconstruction, emphasizing the importance of reforms to achieve long-term stability.
“This effort is crucial for Lebanon and the entire region,” he wrote.
Macron also announced that he will host Lebanese President Joseph Aoun in Paris on March 28 for talks on Lebanon’s political and economic situation.
