Three Lebanese Expats Test Positive for Coronavirus

A new batch of Lebanese expatriates who had been stuck abroad due to global coronavirus lockdown measures were flown back to Beirut Tuesday as a part of the second phase of the expat returns.

Three expats have tested positive for the virus, the Health Ministry announced on Thursday.

One positive case has been recorded among the passengers that were on the Congo flight and another one on the plane that arrived from Paris.

A case has also been recorded on a private flight coming from Liberia.

As for the flights that arrived from Larnaca, Dammam, and Lagos, no Covid-19 cases have been recorded, as per the ministry’s statement.

All the passengers whose test results came back negative are sent home to self-quarantine and will be retested after 14 days.
