Lebanese Delegation Withdraws From Arab Conference

A delegation from North Lebanon's Bar Association withdrew on Saturday from the conference of the 24th Arab Lawyers' Union in Tunis, a statement revealed.

The Bar Association in Tripoli said in a statement that its delegation, headed by Mohammed al-Murad, had withdrawn from the opening session in protest against the “unethical” and “unprofessional” conduct of the Syrian delegation.

Members of the Syrian delegation reportedly raised a poster of regime leader Bachar Assad and chanted slogans in his support.
