Formula One film starring Brad Pitt has been dealt a significant blow after it emerged that key footage shot at the British Grand Prix may now be completely useless.
Hollywood star Pitt was given special permission by F1 bosses to film exciting footage at Silverstone as part of a forthcoming motor racing movie. The crew were given their own pit lane garage and recorded their lead actor driving around the track in a specially adapted F2 car in between practice sessions at the Northamptonshire circuit.
An agreement has since been reached but according to The Sun, filming cannot continue but must instead be 'restarted' because sponsorship deals have changed since the original footage was recorded.
It effectively means that tens of millions of pounds worth of footage is no longer usable and is destined to get no further than the cutting room floor.
