Lebanon Faces Diplomatic Pressure to Set Timeline for Hezbollah Disarmament

Lebanon is facing renewed diplomatic pressure to establish a timeline for disarming Hezbollah, according to sources cited by LBCI. Foreign diplomats have reportedly urged the Lebanese government to commit to a structured plan for the group's disarmament, linking it to upcoming political and institutional developments.

Sources indicate that the proposed timeline has already been outlined and is set to take effect following the approval of key reforms in April and the municipal elections in May.

The plan also includes a parallel initiative to engage Lebanon’s Shiite community in dialogue, aiming to reassure them that their future lies within the Lebanese State rather than outside its official institutions.
