The Lebanese army stated that a confrontation occurred between the escorts of a truck carrying ammunition and local residents after the truck overturned on the Kahale public road, leading to the deaths of two individuals.

"An army force arrived at the scene to contain the altercation. The truckload was transported to a military facility, and an investigation under the supervision of the relevant judicial authorities was initiated," read the statement.

The Lebanese army announced that an army force lifted the truck and reopened the road in both directions at 4 AM today, Thursday, saying that it continues to monitor the situation and take appropriate security measures.
