The Lebanese army has identified the site of a recent rocket launch from southern Lebanon in the Qaaqiya al-Jisr area, located north of the Litani River, and has subsequently initiated an investigation to track down those responsible for the attack, the military announced in a statement on Friday.
The incident, in which two rockets were fired towards Israeli territory, prompted Israeli airstrikes targeting multiple areas in southern Lebanon and a Hezbollah drone storage facility in Beirut's southern suburbs.
The Lebanese army condemned the strikes as a "blatant and repeated violation" of Lebanon's sovereignty and security, asserting that the Israeli raids represent a direct challenge to international laws and the ceasefire agreement established between Israel and Hezbollah in November.
"Military units deployed across various regions are closely monitoring the heavy movement of citizens. Therefore, the Army Command calls on all citizens to adhere to the instructions of these units to ensure their safety. The army will continue to take necessary measures and closely monitor developments along the southern border to maintain stability," the statement concluded.
