The Lebanese Army Command issued a statement outlining its ongoing efforts to protect citizens amid continued Israeli violations of Lebanon’s sovereignty, following Israel’s failure to meet the withdrawal deadline set in the ceasefire agreement.

According to the statement, the army is accompanying citizens into several towns and border areas, including Aita al-Shab, Bint Jbeil, Deir Siryan, Adchit al-Qusayr, Taybe, and Qantara – Marjeyoun, as they face ongoing Israeli incursions.

Despite these protective measures, the statement stressed that Israel has not adhered to the ceasefire terms. Israeli forces have been accused of violating Lebanon’s sovereignty through attacks on civilians, resulting in casualties and injuries. Additionally, Israel has reportedly refused to withdraw from Lebanese territories it occupied during recent escalations.

The Lebanese Army has reiterated its call for citizens to exercise restraint and follow military instructions to ensure their safety amid the escalating tensions.
