The following statement was issued by the Army Command - Directorate of Guidance:

As a result of a security monitoring operation, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate raided the home of citizen (A.S.) in the Bashamoun - Aley area and arrested him for trafficking in military weapons and drugs, seizing a large quantity of military weapons and ammunition. Citizen (M.Z.) was also arrested alongside him, who has an arrest warrant for the crime of gunfire.  

Additionally, a patrol from the Directorate arrested 7 citizens and 2 Palestinians in the Nahr al-Bared camp and in the Tabbaneh, Qobbeh, and vegetable market areas in Tripoli for using and promoting drugs, seizing a quantity of drugs in their possession.
The seized items were handed over, and an investigation was initiated with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
