Inter Miami made the signing of Jordi Alba official on 20 July after weeks of rumors.
He has just finished his presentation press conference after training with his teammates for the second time, and the recent Nations League winner confirmed how grateful he was to be in Miami.
"I'm very grateful for the trust they have placed in me," Alba told the gathered media.
Jordi Alba is reunited in Miami with former Barcelona teammates Sergio Busquets and Leo Messi.
"I'm very happy to be reunited with Leo and Busi. It's not just us, there's a very good group. The coach knows us and we know how demanding it is. We're here to compete and leave Inter Miami as high as possible," he said.
For the former Barcelona player, Tata Martino's time at Barcelona was more than successful.
"Tata Martino did a great job at Barcelona. He is very experienced and knows this competition (MLS) very well," he confessed.
The Catalan defender had several offers from other teams on the table, but decided to opt for the American team.
"The right decision was to come here. There are great players. We want to keep competing and winning. It has been the club that has bet the most on me," he detailed.
Alba had been training alone since the end of the season after winning the Nations League with Spain, but he is in good shape.
"It's difficult to train alone, but I'm fine," said Alba.
Tata Martino himself, who accompanied him at the press conference, confirmed: "He's back in good physical condition."
