Israeli Army Issues Safety Warning to Civilians in Southern Lebanon

The Israeli army has issued a stern warning to Lebanese civilians in southern Lebanon, urging them to refrain from driving in areas south of the Litani River due to heightened military activity. The warning comes as intense fighting between Hezbollah militants and Israeli forces continues in the region.

Col. Avichay Adraee, the Israeli army’s Arabic-language spokesman, took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to deliver the message.

“There is intense fighting in southern Lebanon, in which Hezbollah operatives are using the civilian environment and you as a human shield to organize to carry out attacks,” Adraee wrote.

“For your safety, we ask you to avoid movement in vehicles in the north to south direction, [south] of the Litani River,” he added, emphasizing that the warning is in place until further notice.
