Israeli Airstrikes Hit Multiple Hezbollah Targets Across Southern Lebanon

Israeli airstrikes hit at least seven Hezbollah-linked sites across southern Lebanon on Sunday, with more than 30 munitions dropped in two waves of attacks, according to Israeli media.

In the second round of strikes, carried out shortly after an Israeli evacuation warning, the Israeli military targeted an underground weapons storage facility in the Kfar Beit area near the southern town of Kfar Hatta. The Israeli army said the operation was part of ongoing action against Hezbollah infrastructure.

Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reported that Israeli warplanes carried out more than 10 air raids on Kfar Hatta, which lies north of the Litani River, causing what it described as significant damage to buildings in the area. Shortly before the strikes, the Israeli military issued an evacuation warning for the town.

The Israeli army said it was striking Hezbollah infrastructure in several locations in southern Lebanon, accusing the group of repeatedly violating the ceasefire understandings reached in November 2024, which ended more than a year of cross-border hostilities.

Earlier on Sunday, Israeli strikes hit additional areas in the south, including Jezzine, Mahmoudiyeh and al-Dimasqiyeh, as well as more than 10 strikes on the al-Bureij area, according to the NNA. Most of the targeted locations were north of the Litani River.

Lebanese authorities reported that one person was killed when an Israeli strike hit a car in the city of Bint Jbeil. Lebanon’s health ministry said the “Israeli enemy strike on a vehicle in Bint Jbeil led to the martyrdom of one citizen.”

The Israeli military said the strike targeted a Hezbollah operative whom it accused of breaching the ceasefire agreement.

“A short while ago, in response to Hezbollah’s continuous violations of the ceasefire understandings, the Israeli army struck a Hezbollah terrorist in the Bint Jbeil area,” the military said in a statement.
